Getting to Whidbey Island by ferry is (almost) half the funWhile the bridge at Deception Pass links Whidbey Island's northern tip to Anacortes and the mainland, much of Whidbey Island's traffic arrives at the island at two ferry terminals: Keystone, which links with Port Townsend on the Olympic Peninsula, and Clinton, which links with Mukilteo, between Everett and Seattle on the mainland. Keystone/Port Townsend FerrySchedule | FaresThe Keystone/Port Townsend Ferry crossing takes approximately 30 minutes. Take a moment to head to the observation deck, for stunning views of North Puget Sound, Mount Baker, Whidbey Island's estuaries, and the waterfront at Port Townsend. Washington State Ferries does not accept reservations for this route. Depending on the time of your travels, you may want to plan ahead by 1-3 hours. Check the WSF website for Keystone and Port Townsend wait times. This route is occasionally susceptible to cancellations due to ebb currents and low tides, so be sure to check ahead before you head out on your trip. Clinton/Mukilteo FerrySchedule | Fares
